The raised lip around the camera is deep enough that I can set it face-down without wincing, and the grip on the sides is actually grippy, not slippery plastic. It’s bulky, sure, but for a case this rugged that’s exactly what I wanted.
I've dropped this thing on concrete twice already and the corner just has a scuff mark, no damage to the phone at all. The grip on the sides is solid without making it a pain to slide in and out of my pocket.
